To sign into the ModuSense App, simply enter the username or email address that you used when registering and with and the password you set when registering the account.
If you have not yet registered on ModuSense please do so here.
The Devices Screen
When you sign in to the App, you will see a list of devices that are registered on your account. These are devices you own, regardless of their proximity to you at the time.
The app will automatically begin scanning for ModuSense Bluetooth devices that may be nearby.
Any ModuSense Bluetooth devices the app discovers will be moved to the top of the list automatically. If you have more than one ModuSense Bluetooth device, they will be ordered by signal strength.
If the device near you is not showing up as available, move closer.
When you see the name of your ModuSense device at the top of the list, tap Device Details.
Note: If this is the first time you are connecting to your device or you have switched the device on after it being off, the graphs will be empty. By default the sensors take readings every 15 minutes, so it will take two readings (30 minutes) for graphs to being to populate since a minimum of two data points is needed.
You will need to connect to your device.
Tap Connect to initiate the Bluetooth connection.
Tap Get Latest Data to being downloading the devices data to your phone.
Once downloaded, the data will be displayed on the app.
- For Brood Monitors, you will see graphs for temperature and humidity within the hive.
- For Hive Scales, you will see graphs for hive weight, external temperature and external humidity.
Tapping on the graph itself, you will be taken into a larger graph.
You can use the time bar (in red oval) to change the time period displayed by holding your finger down on the time bar and moving it sideways to set the time period.
To set it back to the full graph, drag your finger across the entire time bar.
You can also see the measurement in a table format by tapping Table above the graph.
For our Hive Scale, you are able zero the scales. This can be used when you might suspect the weight may not be correct.
In your device screen, in the top right are three dots. Tap the three dots and select Calibration.
NB: Other calibration options have been pre-configured by Modusense Support prior to shipping.
Tap Set Weight Scale Zeroing
Tap Reload to get the current reading
Tap Set Current Reading as Zero
Syncing to the Cloud, App Issues and Getting Support
In the Devices List screen in the top left, there is icon with three horizontal lines.
This actives the syncing and support menu.
You care able to sync your data with the Modusense Cloud by tapping Sync my Data.
You can find out support phone numbers and email address by tapping on Modusense Support.
You can also report an issue by tapping Report an Issue and outlining the issue you are having with the app. This sends information the Modusense Support team for issue diagnosis.
Finally, the app version number is displayed in just above the Report an Issue button. This is useful for Modusense Support.
If you have turned on automatic app updates on your smart device, the app will automatically update when a new version is released. However, if you have updates turned off, the app will need to be updated manually.
